The delays aren't too bad, but the narrowing of the road because of the roadworks makes it very unsafe as a cyclist and barriers and cones are often dislodged and meaning that cyclists have to swerve into traffic to get around them
Our reply
Thank you for your comment. We are aware that the width of the road, the built-up nature of the area and the volume of town centre traffic is making this section of road particularly difficult for cyclists at the moment. We will be installing a temporary "cycle diversion" route which will take cyclists away from this stretch of road during the works period.
