Proposal to implement a low emission zone

Closes 1 Dec 2024

Opened 22 Mar 2022

Overview

This is an example activity for demonstration purposes only. This site is operated by Delib Ltd and submitted responses will be discarded.

Nitrogen dioxide is a brown gas, with the chemical formula NO2. It is chemically related to nitric oxide (nitrogen monoxide), a colourless gas with the chemical formula NO. NOis released into the atmosphere from the burning of fossil fuels (i.e., coal, gas etc.). We have collected air pollution data around Edinburgh and mapped it out to identify the areas with the highest levels of pollution. This consultation focuses on one of these areas and outlines our proposal to implement a low emission zone (LEZ) in the centre of the focus area. We want to hear your views on the the proposed LEZ, along with any ammendments you would make to the proposed area. Click on the link below to take part in this activity.
